The Ladera Heights Civic Association represents the interests of
residents of Ladera Heights. You should join this organization and
support their activities. Their low annual dues are used to support
the activities of the association, including newsletters and community
projects. There are many issues of importance to Ladera residents,
from schools, Sheriff's patrol, the Baldwin Hills Conservancy, issues
related to filming in Ladera Heights, etc. A few years ago, the
association's ability to organize residents in opposition to projects
like the power plant that was proposed to be built on the oil fields
along La Cienega demonstrated their community involvement, commitment,
and power. We need to have our voices heard in support of acquiring
rights for more parkland for the Baldwin Hills Conservancy and other
similar issues. We need more Ladera residents to get involved to
better our community.
