• SBCGLOBAL - most of the messages have been blocked
• AOL - some messages have been blocked
• Others - Personal spam filters sometimes block messages

It is not possible to complete your subscription unless you click on the confirmation link in the confirmation email. If you subscribed to the mailing list but have not received the confirmation email, try the following:

1. Check your spam folder for a message with the subject "Request for confirmation of subscription to the mailing list [residents@laderaheights.org]". If found, click on the confirmation link.

2. If not found, then request that we send you a new confirmation message. To do this you must:
   • Unsubscribe from the mailing list using the mailing list form.
   • Wait two minutes.
   • Subscribe to the mailing list using the mailing list form.

     (if you subscribe while your old subscription is still pending confirmation, the system will not send a new confirmation message. Unfortunately, its not our software and we can not change this behavior. That is why you must "unsubscribe" before resubscribing.)

3. If after 15 minutes you still have not received the confirmation message, then the problem is with your internet service provider. You should contact them for help configuring your spam filters, or if it is not your spam filter, then to get an explanation for why they are blocking the message. When you contact them they may ask about the message that you did not recieve. If they ask you can tell them:
   • subject "Request for confirmation of subscription to the mailing list [residents@laderaheights.org]". If found, click on the confirmation link.
   • Likely from the mailing list server majordomo@ml.kundenserver.de.

4. If your internet service provider can not help you, then the only way to subscribe to the list is to use a better email provider, one that doesn't block legitimate message. I suggest requesting a free email account from Google Mail. Then you can subscribe using that email address, and if you choose, forward messages to your original email address. After having gone though all of this, however, you might just decide that you prefer to use Google Mail as your primary email instead.
