Recently, the LHCA Board of Directors had the pleasure of meeting Carol Oike Kitabayashi, Executive Director of Westside Pacific Villages (WPV). WPV is a local organization based in Westchester, CA. that connects seniors with various supportive services. It is a volunteer-driven membership organization that helps older adults remain active and independent; in their own homes and neighborhood by offering support with routine tasks like light shopping, picking up prescriptions, small household repairs, and many social opportunities.
WPV is seeking to expand its services into the Ladera Heights community and welcomes new members. Currently, all membership fees are being waived and WPV is committed to remaining affordable to its members if fees are charged in the future. Also, there is no obligation to continue using these services should membership fees again be charged. WPV is also looking for service volunteers to help in the community and offers flexible hours to accommodate your schedule.
