Last night LAX announced the launch of its new interactive Airplane Noise Portal. It allows us to track and get fast information on airplane flyover noise in our neighborhood. It was designed to work best on cell phones, but you can access it on a computer too.
Once you zoom into our area, you can ask pre-set questions like "What is happening in my neighborhood," and "I heard a low flying plane over my house." It gives you real-time flight reports and even info on individual airline operations. The site address is: https://noiseportal.lawa.org/lax.
Zoom in to the area just above the airport on the homepage map, click and you get this screen. Enjoy!
