U4GM - Elden Ring Bingo: 9 Fun Item Achievement Challenges to Try

Elden Ring’s massive open world is overflowing with hidden treasures, obscure loot, and rare tools that make exploration more rewarding than almost any other RPG. After sinking well over 400 hours into multiple playthroughs, I realized there’s a fun way to reignite the sense of adventure: turning item collection into a bingo-style challenge.

Whether you’re a completionist or just want to spice up your next journey through the Lands Between, these nine item-based achievement challenges will test your knowledge, creativity, and timing. If you're using tools like Elden Ring Nightreign Boosting to fast-track progress or just farming Elden Ring Items for trade or builds, these tasks offer new layers of fun.

What Is Elden Ring Bingo?

Think of it as a personal scavenger hunt. Make a 3x3 bingo board and assign one of the following challenges to each space. As you complete each challenge, you mark it off. Aim for a full row, or go for a blackout if you’re feeling ambitious. These are perfect for solo runs, New Game+, or friendly races with other players.

Here are nine fun and creative challenges to build your own Elden Ring Bingo board:

1. Find and Use Every Type of Grease in One Run

From Fire Grease to Dragonwound Grease, there are over half a dozen weapon-enhancing greases in the game. The challenge? Collect and actually use each one at least once in combat.

My tip: Save this for a boss gauntlet like Gael Tunnel or the Hero's Graves—great places to experiment with elemental damage.

2. Kill a Boss Using Only Throwables

This is where items shine. Fire Pots, Sleep Pots, and Kukris all count. You can’t use weapons or spells. Only throwable items—crafted or found—are allowed.

Personal note: I did this against the Bell Bearing Hunter. It took 14 pots and 10 minutes, but it felt incredibly satisfying.

3. Equip and Win with the Heaviest Armor Set You Own

Forget mobility—go full tank. Equip your heaviest armor set (even if you fat-roll) and defeat at least one dungeon boss with that loadout.

Pro tip: Use Elden Ring Nightreign Boosting to optimize your load level or grab better talismans early on for weight management.

4. Loot a Dungeon Using Only Rainbow Stones for Light

No torches. No lanterns. Only Rainbow Stones to light your path. This works best in deep, dark dungeons like the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds or Ainsel River.

My experience: I fell off ledges… multiple times. But the tension made every step memorable.

5. Make an Item Build Centered on Sleep or Madness

Forget bleed and frostbite. Build around less-used status effects like Sleep or Madness. Use items like Sleepbone Arrows or Frenzied Flame Stones as your main source of damage or crowd control.

Tip: These builds aren’t overpowered but are incredibly fun and weirdly effective in PvP zones.

6. Trade Only for Unique Weapons and Use One to Beat a Boss

Whether you get them through NPC questlines or online trading, find a unique weapon not in your normal rotation. Use it exclusively to defeat a major boss.

If you're short on time or missed quests, using Elden Ring Items from legit trading platforms can help you get what you need quickly.

7. Perform a "Vendor-Only" Run for One Region

Limit yourself to only items you can purchase from merchants in a single region (e.g., Limgrave, Liurnia). No pickups, no crafting. See how far you can go before you need to restock elsewhere.

My run: I did this in Caelid using only gear from Isolated Merchant and Nomadic vendors. Rough—but possible.

8. Collect All Cookbooks in a Single Playthrough

There are over 60 cookbooks scattered across the map. They’re easy to ignore but unlock powerful crafting options. This challenge pushes you to visit every corner of the map.

Personal insight: I missed four cookbooks even after two playthroughs. Doing this taught me how much I’d overlooked.

9. Win a PvP Duel Using Only Consumables

No melee weapons, no sorceries, no incantations. Only items like Blood Grease, Swarm Pots, and neutralizing boluses. It’s chaotic, but if you win, it’s legendary.

Pro tip: Use a fast PvP zone like the Colosseum or PvP hotspots like the Main Academy Gate. You’ll eventually find someone willing to play along.

These bingo-style item challenges added fresh excitement to my most recent Elden Ring run. They also made me appreciate just how deep and nuanced the item system truly is. Whether you're casually exploring or making use of Elden Ring Nightreign Boosting to optimize your path, this format brings new life to the game.

And if you're stuck trying to find obscure gear, remember that many Elden Ring Items can be acquired through ethical trading or reputable platforms—saving time while still letting you enjoy the fun.
